Foot Fault!

Serbian Fed Cup ties with Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic are always fun, but I have to say, I’m pretty excited to watch this star-less Fed Cup team in action. With the exception of the interminable veteran Ana Jovanovic, there will be a bunch of young, fresh faces on show. Leading the team will be 19 year old BoJo, the youngest player in the top 100 who is quickly making her name for herself with her huge ballstriking. Behind her is the crafty 17 year-old Aleksandra Krunic (one half of the legendary Krunkovic), and rounding off the group of upstarts is 16 year-old Tamara Curovic.

I’ve seen all three in action, and there’s a hell of a lot of talent between them, so it will be a great experience for all. I reckon they have a good chance if they can use the partisan Serbian crowd to will them on past the Canucks.
